I am ripping up the floorboards. Going deep. Clearing?out what no longer serves me. Keeping only what brings me joy. It started with the desire to lose the carpet, despite all the good times we’ve shared. Now almost everything I own is boxed in the garage awaiting sorting and my empty house feels as spacious as sky freshly painted. ?A stack of local tan oak?seasons in the living room. We’ll lay it down this weekend my brother and I. Its going to be beautiful and enduring when we’re done. ?It feels good to be both staying deeply put and starting over, all at once.
